Intraosseous Access 

The intraosseous access course is suitable of all healthcare staff from different background settings and whose role requires the use of an intraosseous device. This course will teach candidates to the skills and knowledge required to undertake this procedure and can also be used a refresher course for anyone wishing to update their knowledge and skills.

All resuscitation course instructors are resuscitation council UK instructors.

Requirements

Student Healthcare Professionals on a recognized course of study at a minimum of year 2.


Registered Healthcare Professionals with a current Pin Number (NMC, GMC, HCPC, GPHC or GDC).

Candidates who attend the session and participate on the practical aspects will be issued a certificate with a description of the course contents.
Note: Attendance and completion of the intraosseous access course does not constitute a license to practice the procedure. The course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to perform the procedure, however your employer/organization needs to ensure there are policies and procedures in place, as well as governance and insurances for you to undertake intraosseous access.
