Safe Steps UK is a healthcare training company funded and run by clinicians. We offer a variety of training courses. Our mission is to train and empower both people and organisations with the skills required to care for any patient or person with excellency.

Our team
Gil Figueiredo
Gil completed his degree within Nursing in 2011 before completing his Critical Care Post-Graduation in 2018 and Post-Diploma certificate in critical care in 2023.
Gil is a trained Resuscitation Council UK instructor for Advanced Life Support, European Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Immediate Life Support and Paediatric Immediate Life Support.
Gil has more than 10 years experience in acute settings within Intensive Care, Aeromedical Transport & Hyperbaric Medicine.
Alongside this Gil has also worked a Lead Resuscitation role within an NHS Trust covering all areas of the resuscitation service.
Flávia Martins
Flavia completed her degree within Nursing in 2012, following on from this in 2018, Flavia qualified within the speciality of Neonatal Intensive Care before completing her Masters in Science (Critical Care) in 2023.
Flavia has more than 10 years experience in acute settings which includes working within Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Hyperbaric Medicine as well as an educator and leading simulations in Neonatogy. Flavia is also a Lactation Consultant certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and a Resuscitation Council UK instructor for Immediate Life Support and Paediatric Life Support.
