Immediate Life Support – RCUK Course

In the UK healthcare providers face more than 45000 cardiac arrest situations every year, including pre and in-hospital.

Immediate Life Support (ILS) is now the most popular Resuscitation Council UK course, and around 100,000 people are trained in ILS every year.

This is a one day* course that has been designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to provide go through a in dept assessment of the deteriorating patient as well as high-quality resuscitation at immediate life support level. It consists of lectures, skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations (CASTeach).

The certification is recognised across the UK, the EU and Australia.

*Safe Steps UK also offers the e-ILS course, which consists of e-learning modules and attending a half a day face to face course.

Requirements

This course is for doctors, medical students, nurses, nursing students, midwifes, ODPs, cardiac technicians, resuscitation officers, allied health professionals (such as a physiotherapists, radiographers, occupational therapists), dental nurses, dentists, paramedics, ambulance technicians, healthcare assistants or nursing associates.

It may also be suitable for you if you are EMTs, AAPs and FREC 4/5 qualified who require to undertake yearly CPD.  a fire service technician, police personnel prison officer or cabin crew.
